don’t know whether the Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi,
who wrote the poem “The Infinite” had ever
walked the hills of Monferrato, ever rested his gaze on
this marvellous vista, but his verses certainly ring true
every time one has the fortune to look beyond the hedgerows
and all around. |
